In a market that can now no longer sidestep the matter of respect for environmental resources and a responsible approach to the creative process, Premiere Vision challenges exhibitors to considerably shift the focus of their research and innovation toward products that meet the needs of the future fashion panorama.
Clerici Tessuto started moving in this crucial direction for some time now, embracing its own challenge through high- performance products that combine innovation and sustainability. The Clerici Tessuto area inside Premiere Vision will include a section wholly dedicated to the range of sustainable solid colour fabrics, where the keywords are sustainable design, certification and traceability.
Together with the chain of excellence “Filo D’Oro” Clerici Tessuto sustainable fabrics are included in SMART CREATIONS, the section dedicated to sustainable creativity. A selection of products has also been selected by Premiere Vision as SMART AMBASSADOR and will be used as special visual communication in order to highlight sustainable initiatives, as a concrete example of the responsible evolution embraced by Clerici Tessuto.
CLERICI TESSUTO collection
In the solid colors section, silk-steel blends create natural crisp ultra-light effect and a viscose cady has a golden and iridescent frost to gently illuminate. Targeted finishing treatments on 100% pure silk animate the surface, altering the ultimate perception: an iridescent finish uses two-colour reflections to mimic beetle shells, technical treatments produce a super snappy handle on exquisitely feminine textures, while golden details illuminate “froissé” wrinkled-effect pleating on a rosy base.
The perfect fusion of aesthetic and technical aspects is unveiled in jacquards in the form of gleaming silk/viscose duchesse on vibrant bases in bold, contrasting colours. Lurex fil coupé on textured weaves creates art deco-inspired geometric patterns that balance density and transparency. Jacquard georgette features irregular stripes with vintage ribbon patterns in black and white. Floral 3-D surfaces in sizzling hot pink are scattered with light, courtesy of tiny gold lurex polka dots. Glossy turquoise fringing against a meadow-green background represents post-contemporary camouflage.
The inspiration for the colour palette comes from the golden age of surrealist fashion: Schiaparelli pink, the coral lipsticks of René Gruau paintings, the new neutrals: tea, coffee and coloured greys.
BROCHIER PARIS collection
Clerici Tessuto’s top range products complete the Autumn-Winter 2020/21 collection, showcased at the September edition of Premiere Vision, with excellent printing techniques, jacquard weaves and velvets that define products designed specifically for couture. In the field of velvet production in particular, Clerici Tessuto reaffirms its status as one of the few manufacturers carrying on the tradition of artisan craftsmanship of undisputed quality
Ornate jacquards are characterised by large patterns featuring opulent motifs with lurex effects and designs that require hours and hours of work, with the level of craftsmanship and the sheer time required to produce them offering additional indications of the preciousness of these fabrics.
An exquisitely luxurious product, silk velvet is proposed not only for fabrics dedicated to outerwear but also on light bases like chiffon with sheer effects. Velvets are proposed in various patterns, from floral and animalier to figurative versions depicting extraordinary, highly detailed landscapes.
Prints are developed on distinctive bases like glitter and metallic effect fabrics, special products representing the development and value of Gruppo Clerici Tessuto in-house research.
INDUSTRY collection
Industry presents a collection comprising printed and jacquard fabrics that explore 6 different themes with 15 fabrics and 40 patterns. The offering is based principally on technical blends and cotton/viscose, wool/viscose, cotton/silk blends. Polished and compact weave cottons, striking denim effects and gleaming finishing treatments touch on sportswear proposals that deliver a dynamic performance.
Decorative themes, inspired by the extensive Clerici Tessuto archive, reveal vintage overtones in the more feminine floral versions and in ethnic-inspired and animalier prints, some featuring classic production and others updated using digital technology. The camouflage theme evolves through tie-dye and toile de Jouy patterns, explored by French fashion houses for accessories and key outerwear pieces, with a fresh reading that proposes jungle-effect jacquard.
The Clerici Tessuto collections for AW 2020/21 are on display at booths 5G14 and 5H13 from 17th to 19th September.
