Introducing the Academy Project

Clerici Tessuto presented yesterday, at the inauguration of Milano Unica, the Academy project, a pilot training course in partnership with the Istituto Superiore Starting Work aimed at providing selected young people with targeted skills to work in the Como textile district.

This project is designed for young individuals between the ages of 19 and 26 who already held high school diplomas. It marks the initial phase of a more extensive project aimed at creating a stronger connection between the corporate and educational worlds.

The course encompasses a total of 800 hours of training, with 560 hours dedicated to on-the-job training under the guidance of our mentors and 240 hours of classroom instruction. The teaching program ranges from introductory topics on textile materials to chemistry fundamentals, from the introduction of working tools such as CAD or archive management to knowledge of the main production technologies.

The combination of theoretical learning and practical application in real-life scenarios will allow these young talents to enhance their knowledge and gain specialized skills in various areas of the textile industry.

As stated by Luigia Borgonovo, Human Resources Director at Clerici Tessuto, « This initiative reaffirme Clerici Tessuto’s commitment to fostering the growth and development of young talents within our community. It showcases our dedication to contributing to the advancement of the next generation of skilled professionals in the textile industry. »
