Clerici Tessuto obtained FSC® and GRS Certification

FSC® Certification

The desire to contribute to the production of sustainable fabrics has prompted Clerici Tessuto to obtain FSC® certification, achieved in 2018.

The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is an independent, non-governmental, not for profit organization, established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests, that has created an internationally recognised forest and chain-of-custody certification system that guarantees that FSC-certified materials, including cellulose, the raw material for viscose, are responsibly sourced and made and that they are used responsibly from an environmental, social and ecological point of view.

GRS Certification

The desire to reduce the pollution related to the plastic material has also directed us towards the use of post-consumer recycled material that could be guaranteed through the GRS (Global Recycle Standard) certification, obtained in 2019.

The GRS is an international, voluntary, textile certification that sets out requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions. The GRS is intended to meet the needs of companies looking to verify the recycled content of textile products (both finished and intermediate) and to verify responsible social, environmental and chemical practices in their production.
