1922
Founded in 1922 by Rachele Clerici and Alessandro Tessuto as a company for trading in silk fabrics.
1937
Foundation of the Grandate factory.
1962
The post-war period is characterized by a growth of the company, thanks to investments to serve the main Italian and French fashion houses and to the specialization in yarn-dyed and jacquard fabrics.
1975
Alessandro Tessuto (third generation) introduces high-level printed fabrics.
1989-95
The group diversifies its business by producing fabrics for men’s accessories and furnishings.
2000
With the beginning of the new century, the Group enters the industry and retail market with the Guest and New Tess divisions and verticalizes the digital printing with the acquisition of Sara Ink.
2009
The company enters the beachwear and resortwear market and acquires the brand BROCHIER, as home furnishing fabric editor.
2013
Creation of the Filo d’Oro network, a group of textile companies integrated in a unique value chain.
2017
The Group implements the new corporate sustainability strategy and enters into the segment of menswear fabrics, with the TEX HOMME collection.
2019
Acquisition of the Larusmiani Tessuti brand license, for the production and marketing of men’s drapery.
2020
Agreement with Parley for the Oceans to manufacture luxury fabrics using GRS-certified polyester yarns created using plastic pollution collected from oceans.
2022
Clerici Tessuto, now in its third generation, celebrates 100 years since its foundation.
